30 days of getting my life back on track. 30 days of figuring out what was important, and slowly working things back in.
The Challenge
My challenge was to revisit the various activities in my life to make sure that I am focusing on the things that are important to me. I decided to follow my Reboot Your Life Workbook to make this simpler (to get the workbook, go to 30 Day Challenge: Life Reboot.
Lessons Learned
There were a few things I learned throughout the month.
- I didn’t need a reboot; I had a hard disk failure. There is a difference between being overloaded and overwhelmed and having everything in your life come to a screeching halt. While I was able to consider what to start up again, everything had stopped of its own accord and I didn’t need to figure out how to take a break. One was given to me.
- The ideal day planning was helpful. I’m still not back at full capacity. I tire easily and need more rest. Having to think about how I want my ideal day, weekend and week go was a good exercise.
- I still have too many projects. There are a lot of things I want to do that I never seem to get to.
- Time-wasters are killer. I still have too many time-wasters. I ended up having to remove Kindle from my phone, because it became a problem again.
Conclusion
I wouldn’t say that I am completely back to where I need to be, but I found the slow and steady work through the workbook to be good for re-aligning my thinking and my desires. I still have work to do…but it was never expected to be a run-and-done sort of task!
